Description

We are seeking a Certified Hyperbaric Technician (CHT) to join our growing team in the Hyperbaric Medicine department. The CHT is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chamber and related systems, providing support for hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) under the direction of a licensed physician. This role requires strong attention to safety, excellent patient care skills, and technical expertise.The job description of the Hyperbaric Technician is in accordance with the requirements of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS), The Joint Commission (TJC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 6 months hyperbaric experience required; or, clinical experience, or EMS/Paramedic experience.

Certification/Licensure:

  • Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) by the NBDHMT preferred; or 1 year employment and Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Note: Candidates may also qualify for the CHT pathway through current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Respiratory Therapist (RT).

Additional Requirements:

  • 40-hour training at a UHMS approved course in Hyperbaric Team training or certification of same is on file.
  • Participates in Safety Director training within one year of employment.

Pay & Benefits: Commensurate with experience. Team members are eligible to receive benefits on the first day of the month following the date of hire, with 30 days to apply for benefits of choice.
