Job Description

The Office of Dr. Michelle Tucker, ND, is seeking a Certified Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Technologist to administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy using a monoplace hyperbaric chamber. You’ll work under the direction of a Hyperbaric Physician to deliver coordinated care for patients of an established Naturopathic and Acupuncture practice.

Position Highlights
  • Introduce, prepare, and educate patients about Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
  • Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Physician.
  • Monitor patient responses during sessions and make adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure safe and effective use of the hyperbaric chamber equipment.
  • Keep complete and accurate patient records and log data entries for all sessions daily.
  • Operate and maintain the hyperbaric chamber and other hyperbaric support oxygen systems as required.
Required Skills

As the Certified Hyperbaric Technologist, you will be the primary person running the day-to-day operations of the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy division. To do this successfully, you must have the following skills:

  • The ability to administer care and monitor patients as prescribed by a Physician.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear instructions to patients.
  • Thorough record-keeping and documentation skills.
  • The ability to develop and present information clearly and concisely.
  • Willingness to respond to inquiries from patients and the general public.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols for high-pressure environments and oxygen therapy.
Qualifications
  • Must be certified as one of the following: Certified Hyperbaric Technologist, Respiratory Therapist, Physician Assistant, EMT/Paramedic, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Must have experience operating and maintaining hyperbaric chambers and related medical equipment.
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain, training and certification in hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
