Multicenter Registry Update
The Multicenter Registry for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy was well-represented at the 2026 AsMA-UHMS Annual Scientific Meeting in Denver
A poster presented by Suwen Wu, MS, gave a comprehensive summary of the registry’s 2025 activity. Here are some of the highlights:
Registry Statistics as of December 31, 2025:
- 33 centers were actively contributing data, with additional centers in the onboarding process.
- The registry contained 15,226 patient records in total.
- A total of 2,330 records were newly submitted and processed in 2025
- The three most common UHMS indications were delayed radiation injury (N=826; 32.69%), compromised grafts and flaps (N=359; 14.21%), and carbon monoxide poisoning (N=310; 12.27%).
- Among non-UHMS indications with valid coding (N=125), the most common were COVID-19 (N=21; 16.8%), other (N=46; 36.8%), and frostbite (N=12; 9.6%).
- Pre- to post-treatment outcome changes to post-treatment outcome changes were observed across several common indications, consistent with prior years.
